--- title: Something in you is greater than your obstacle, Erik Weihenmayer description: Aaron Walker of View from the Top, Iron Sharpens Iron Mastermind, helping ordinary men to become extraordinary, talks about no obstacle that is greater than you. --- [sdd](http://www.viewfromthetop.com/) # Aaron Walker Live From The Greenway! ## [Something in you is greater than your obstacle, Erik Weihenmayer](https://www.isibrotherhood.com/livefromthegreenway/something-in-you-is-greater-than-your-obstacle-erik-weihenmayer) Posted by [Aaron Walker](https://www.isibrotherhood.com/livefromthegreenway/author/aaron-walker) on Apr 29, 2019 9:00:00 AM - [Tweet](https://twitter.com/share) I get the privilege along with many of our mastermind group members to interview Erik Weihenmayer. Eric is the guy I told you about a month ago that i'm getting the privilege to interview that summitted seven of the highest peaks on earth. Here's the kicker, he's blind! I watched him interviewed this morning on Oprah that Eric did years ago. Eric has been hosted by the White House. He's been featured on the cover of Time magazine, Sports Illustrated. The list of accolades goes on for decades with this guy. But what I want to talk to you about today is you. What are some of the things that you've accomplished? What are some of the things that you've done in your life that you feel a sense of pride? You've inspired others? Have you taken the risk? Are you taking the chance? What is it that you've done well? Eric has absolutely accomplished some amazing things quitting letting others expectations dictate what he did. I went back and thought about that. And I thought, my goodness! How many of us today are allowing others expectations dictate what we do in our careers and personally? It's a little bit alarming to me when I thought about that. So many of you out there today are wanting to do new business ventures. There's new personal things that you're wanting to accomplish and you're allowing others expectations to dictate what you do! Failure is in not trying, not in not succeeding! What is it today that you're afraid of? Is it your neighbor? Is it your colleagues or peers? Hey, one thing for sure! It's not going to work if you don't give it a try!       Topics: [Life Coaching](https://www.isibrotherhood.com/livefromthegreenway/topic/life-coaching), [Motivation](https://www.isibrotherhood.com/livefromthegreenway/topic/motivation), [Accountability](https://www.isibrotherhood.com/livefromthegreenway/topic/accountability), [Character](https://www.isibrotherhood.com/livefromthegreenway/topic/character), [Business Coaching](https://www.isibrotherhood.com/livefromthegreenway/topic/business-coaching), [Finances](https://www.isibrotherhood.com/livefromthegreenway/topic/finances), [Balance](https://www.isibrotherhood.com/livefromthegreenway/topic/balance), [Community](https://www.isibrotherhood.com/livefromthegreenway/topic/community), [Relationships](https://www.isibrotherhood.com/livefromthegreenway/topic/relationships), [Success](https://www.isibrotherhood.com/livefromthegreenway/topic/success), [Significance](https://www.isibrotherhood.com/livefromthegreenway/topic/significance), [Priorities](https://www.isibrotherhood.com/livefromthegreenway/topic/priorities), [Tips](https://www.isibrotherhood.com/livefromthegreenway/topic/tips), [Commitment](https://www.isibrotherhood.com/livefromthegreenway/topic/commitment), [Persistent](https://www.isibrotherhood.com/livefromthegreenway/topic/persistent), [Consistent](https://www.isibrotherhood.com/livefromthegreenway/topic/consistent), [Move Forward](https://www.isibrotherhood.com/livefromthegreenway/topic/move-forward), [Blueprint](https://www.isibrotherhood.com/livefromthegreenway/topic/blueprint), [Preparation](https://www.isibrotherhood.com/livefromthegreenway/topic/preparation), [Integrity](https://www.isibrotherhood.com/livefromthegreenway/topic/integrity), [Discipline](https://www.isibrotherhood.com/livefromthegreenway/topic/discipline), [Clarity](https://www.isibrotherhood.com/livefromthegreenway/topic/clarity) [![v](https://no-cache.hubspot.com/cta/default/417143/b853a945-b1cb-4792-bf63-90672b81b100.png)](https://cta-redirect.hubspot.com/cta/redirect/417143/b853a945-b1cb-4792-bf63-90672b81b100) ## [![New Call-to-action](https://www.isibrotherhood.com/hs/cta/cta/default/417143/9417b644-9661-4b64-8697-335aa0092970.png)](https://www.isibrotherhood.com/hs/cta/cta/redirect/417143/9417b644-9661-4b64-8697-335aa0092970) [![Mastermind Blueprint How to Build a rich life](https://www.isibrotherhood.com/hs/cta/cta/default/417143/4449ae7f-4889-4928-97ed-a09aebf88952.png)](https://www.isibrotherhood.com/hs/cta/cta/redirect/417143/4449ae7f-4889-4928-97ed-a09aebf88952) ### Subscribe to Email Updates [![25 questions every man should answer to go from success to significance](https://no-cache.hubspot.com/cta/default/417143/4028023d-111b-4ac3-95f5-9ce51a8cb8d3.png)](https://cta-redirect.hubspot.com/cta/redirect/417143/4028023d-111b-4ac3-95f5-9ce51a8cb8d3) ### Recent Posts [![The Steps for Men to have a more productive day](https://no-cache.hubspot.com/cta/default/417143/f3284309-9ae7-46b8-8071-015d3ea3775e.png)](https://cta-redirect.hubspot.com/cta/redirect/417143/f3284309-9ae7-46b8-8071-015d3ea3775e) . ### Posts by Topic -
