After my wife and I were married we moved to Goodlettsville on the outskirts of Nashville, 15 miles north to a community of 30,000 people.Our next door neighbor, Albert McCarroll was the caretaker of a 130 acre farm for our local judge. Albert and his wife Dude, maintained this farm for more than 50 years. Every time I was in a bind, needed common sense or a voice of reason, Albert was my go to guy. I kinda adopted them to be my surrogate grandparents.

Our Perfect Little Marriage!
My wife Robin and I have been together a long time. We were high school sweethearts at just 16 and 15. I remember teaching her how to drive. How many of you men can say that? In only two short weeks out of high school we were married at 19 and 18! And even then, I knew someday we would be sitting on our porch watching the proverbial sunset and die holding hands…(sniff sniff) Wow! my life is as romantic as that movie The Notebook.

It is a challenge balancing work and family.
If you are like me it’s been a constant battle. When my daughters were involved with cheer leading and gymnastics there was always a meet or competition and was it difficult to make all of the events. My heart was always with my girls but the mortgage was always due on the 15th. Being an entrepreneur and self employed never allowed me to count on someone else. If I didn’t produce it, it didn’t happen. Hence, the battle for my time.
