I'd like to encourage you today when you're doing deals, think through what the real cost is. Not only as it relates to the financial loss but what it could pertain to as it relates to your reputation. We are people of character. We have integrity and we need to stick to our word regardless of the financial outcome. When you're faced with dilemmas think about what your character is worth and go forward and make the right decision.

I don't know of a day that goes by that I don't get told I just can't get motivated. Well, I want to encourage you today, motivation is not what you need because motivation is an exhaustible resource. It is something that you're going to use, it's going to get you out of the gate but it is not gonna sustain you long term. Let me tell you what we do in Iron Sharpens Iron Mastermind group about three years ago. We read the 12-week year and I know I've talked about it over and over and over - - - I'll continue to talk about it over and over because it works! Brian Moran is a great guy and he's got a great system that he's developed and we've been implemented it into our mastermind group. I want to tell you the results are outstanding!
The reason that you can't get motivated is you don't have a plan. You don't need motivation if you have a plan and the benefits are really exponential! I can't even begin to tell you the benefits when you structure your day that way. There's no telling how much more I get done every single day because I have a plan. I know exactly what I'm going to do each and every day and because I have this plan there's greater success in more areas.
Listen, if you talk to me in the future don't tell me I can't get motivated because what you need is a plan.

We need to stop playing it safe. Remove those golden handcuffs! Pursue your dreams or ideas. They will not come into fruition if you don't at least try. Pull the trigger now. Take the plunge. Go for it! Quit being on the fence.

"You always want to leave your audience wanting more." What does this mean? We got to be careful even in our conversations when we are getting to know people even better. You want to leave them wanting a little more. You do not want them leaving and saying "I am glad that is over!". There are also cases that when we are in the phase of knowing someone better, we talk a little too much about our self. It would be best to turn the conversation around. Always point it back to the person you are with. In doing so, we are leaving a sweet taste in their mouth, like they can't wait to get back to that conversation.
