The day I lost a $1,000,000 profit over greed I learned a valuable lesson: Everybody got to win! You can't always swing for the fence every single time.

Hey! Do you ever feel overwhelmed? Man! I cannot tell you how many times in the course of my career. And even in my marriage, raising children, doing business that I felt a sense of being overwhelmed. When you feel overwhelmed, let me tell you what not to do - this is what I did as a young businessman and as a young husband/father - I did not tell anybody. I was like, "Hey, I will get this figured out on my own". Man, that is the worst advice anybody could ever take as he is trying to figure out something on your own.

Redlining! More often than not and unknowingly, you do this. Some of you guys are redlining your life. You are working more hours than you should.
And I'd like to warn you from that because that is not gonna work out well for you long term. Your health is going to suffer as a result of it.
Your relationship is going to suffer as a result of it. Your finances is going to suffer as a result of it because we are not designed to redline all the time.

I believe that dreaming is so important.
I want to encourage you guys today that you may not know exactly what its gonna look like when you get started and that's okay.
You know years ago when I first went into the retail business I didn't have this grandioso vision of owning multiple locations and then later selling out to a fortune 500.
What I had was is the vision to have one retail outlet that could be amazing. And as a result of getting in there and getting involved I found out the way to do it and I was able to go on and start multiple stores and then even sell out to a company in Fort Worth Texas. Iit's a lot easier to get that dream realized once you get moving. In order to find out what your real dream possibilities are you got to get moving.

One of the things that you can do to absolutely delight your customers or people around you is making them feel welcome.
How many opportunities do we have every day to make people feel welcome and make people feel important and we miss it?
Listen it is such an important thing that we make people in our community feel important. So think about the things that you're doing today the people that are around you.
I want to give you some homework. Go out today and say, “I’m gonna make three people feel exceptionally welcome whether it’s employees or family members.” Then you watch what happens not only to them but to you as well.
