40 years ago I met my wife Robin and in a few weeks we will be celebrating our anniversary! 39 years ago I started my first business. Four years ago, I started View from the Top! And God has blessed me in this business. But today, I want to give a shout out to the guy who got me all systematized and organized, Scott Beebe of My Business On Purpose. Step By Step

Posted by Aaron Walker on May 24, 2019 9:00:00 AM

Let's think strategically how we can go about living a better life. I’m not a big health guy you know, what I’m saying, I mean, don't take that wrong, I want to be in good health but what I mean is I'm not your seven-day-a-week workout guy, who watches every single bite I put in my mouth.  I’m not that kind of guy but I do want to be in great shape. I do want to take care of myself and praise God I'm healthy!  I want to encourage you not to be that guy that just goes nutso and gets rid of everything in exercises seven days a week and you'll burn out.  You all hold that pace. You just won't do it but getting an accountability partner - - - somebody that will help you and train you and teach you to live a balanced life.  A life that is pleasing to you and to your family. God gave you one body.  When it's gone it's gone and we need to take care of it.

Is What You Say Empty Words?

Posted by Aaron Walker on May 17, 2019 9:00:00 AM

Say what you mean and mean what you say - - - We don't do that often times even in the workplace and even at home. I see this over and over and over the lack of consistency. I see this primarily with parents with young children and they wonder sometimes why their children kind of get away with some things that they probably shouldn’t. It is because we don’t exercise the authority that God gave us over the children and we just disallow ourselves from making those tough calls and then our children misbehave and they grow up in a world not realizing that people mean what they say. I want to encourage you today to mean what you say say what
you mean and follow through.

Something in you is greater than your obstacle, Erik Weihenmayer

Posted by Aaron Walker on Apr 29, 2019 9:00:00 AM

I get the privilege along with many of our mastermind group members to interview Erik Weihenmayer. Eric is the guy I told you about a month ago that i'm getting the privilege to interview that summitted seven of the highest peaks on earth. Here's the kicker, he's blind! I watched him interviewed this morning on Oprah that Eric did years ago. Eric has been hosted by the White House. He's been featured on the cover of Time magazine, Sports Illustrated. The list of accolades goes on for decades with this guy.

But what I want to talk to you about today is you. What are some of the things that you've accomplished? What are some of the things that you've done in your life that you feel a sense of pride? You've inspired others? Have you taken the risk? Are you taking the chance? What is it that you've done well?

Eric has absolutely accomplished some amazing things quitting letting others expectations dictate what he did. I went back and thought about that. And I thought, my goodness! How many of us today are allowing others expectations dictate what we do in our careers and personally? It's a little bit alarming to me when I thought about that. So many of you out there today are wanting to do new business ventures. There's new personal things that you're wanting to accomplish and you're allowing others expectations to dictate what you do! Failure is in not trying, not in not succeeding! What is it today that you're afraid of? Is it your neighbor? Is it your colleagues or peers? Hey, one thing for sure! It's not going to work if you don't give it a try!
