Are you a chameleon? Do you change your color based on your surroundings because you want to be liked by your peers, the people around you? Would you rather agree with the majority even if it's not the right thing to do?
Or are you a thought leader who's not afraid to stand alone? I was told before, always be willing to stand alone if you are convicted that you're making the right decision. I don't like chameleons! I don't like people who stick their finger in the air first before making a decision.

If we would do business like the way athletes play sports, we would WIN! Hands down! We need to set boundaries. We need to have accountability. We need to have a coach. We need to have a referee. We need to be aware of the lines. We also need to have the sabbath.

I text a buddy of mine this morning and I said, “Hey man, I want you in the mastermind one day.” And he said, “I just can't do it right now. I've got three kids driving, got one in college and I've got to keep my expenses low.” I said, “First of all masterminds are not an expense. They're an investment and I wonder what your income would be today if you surrounded yourself with a hundred and fifty entrepreneurs that are holding each other accountable offering resources, encouraging edifying and lifting each other up, giving you introductions to new relationships. I wonder then if it's an expense or an investment.”
Why do you think the most wealthy people on earth are in masterminds? Bill Gates, Warren Buffett, you name it! Look at Andrew Carnegie, you know. Henry Ford, they were all in masterminds. you know why? Because they realized they couldn't do it alone.
Life is about our mindset.
Our success is about our mindset
How is your mindset today? How are you looking at things? Listen I, totally refuse in life to have a half empty cup. I’m just not going to do it.
Mindset is so important. I can't even begin to tell you how important it is. I want to encourage you today to think through the way you look at life and business.
I want to encourage you today to have a different mindset. We can't do it alone. We were designed to be in community and that's where we thrive.

Have you ever noticed in pro sports or even college sports people how they win all the time? Do you know why they win all the time? They know how to recruit. They're the best recruiters on the planet. Those guys know how to pick the team. Why do we think it's any differently in our businesses? We go out and we get the cheapest person. You're like, "Hey, come on you're $12 an hour, we'll take you. You're $8 an hour. You're $20 an hour. You're $50 an hour."
Whatever it is that you think is cheap, for whatever that you're having them to do, you pick that person rather than their passion, rather than their heart. You need to pick the right person. You need to go after the talent. The ones that have heart.
