I gotta be honest with you. Some of you need a little bit of that work ethic. Some of you need to breathe that into your children. Some of you need to teach them that they are not entitled - that you are not going to give everything. Listen, the harder you work the blessed you get - that's why I have titled this "A little bit of effort goes a long way." I just want to encourage you guys today that when you teach your children or grand children to work is not gonna kill 'em.

I'm reading a great book right now called "The Talent Code". There's a couple of guys in our mastermind group that recommended this book. I started thinking back about these guys in their history, their work history, their work ethic. These guys are off the chart! I mean, they have seven-figure businesses! They've been very successful throughout.
Life has been successful and all the things that they've done personally and I started thinking, "Man, I might order and check this book out!" So now we bought a copy for everybody in our mastermind group. We're taking 130 guys through The Talent Code and what The Talent Code is about, is DEEP PRACTICE. It builds myelin in your brain. These neural pathways that help us understand how to do the deep work and how to stay on task with doing the things that we need to do and it's through this deep practice.

I text a buddy of mine this morning and I said, “Hey man, I want you in the mastermind one day.” And he said, “I just can't do it right now. I've got three kids driving, got one in college and I've got to keep my expenses low.” I said, “First of all masterminds are not an expense. They're an investment and I wonder what your income would be today if you surrounded yourself with a hundred and fifty entrepreneurs that are holding each other accountable offering resources, encouraging edifying and lifting each other up, giving you introductions to new relationships. I wonder then if it's an expense or an investment.”
Why do you think the most wealthy people on earth are in masterminds? Bill Gates, Warren Buffett, you name it! Look at Andrew Carnegie, you know. Henry Ford, they were all in masterminds. you know why? Because they realized they couldn't do it alone.
Life is about our mindset.
Our success is about our mindset
How is your mindset today? How are you looking at things? Listen I, totally refuse in life to have a half empty cup. I’m just not going to do it.
Mindset is so important. I can't even begin to tell you how important it is. I want to encourage you today to think through the way you look at life and business.
I want to encourage you today to have a different mindset. We can't do it alone. We were designed to be in community and that's where we thrive.

I'd like to ask you this. Do you have that support to your children?
Are you there for them unconditionally?
Are you always there to walk them thru to finish their goals, to help them, to support them?
Or are you putting unnecessary pressure just for your children to perform?
